VOCABULARY ARTS

BASIC   GEOMETRY CONCEPTS AND DEFINITIONS.

*Geometry: It is an area of knowledse wich studies any elements and operations on the plane such as points.
*Points: In geometry a point can be defined as a place or location where two lines interest. A point hasn’t got dimension no height and not width.
*Line: A one dimensional object formed of infinite point. It has not end, and continuous on forever in a plane.
*Ray: A  line wich begin at a point (called end-point)  and extends endlessly in one direction.
*Mind point: It is a point that is halfway between the endspoints of the line segment.
*Line segment: It is aline with two wndpoints.
*Length: Measurenment of something from end point.

GEOMETRY DRAWING AND SUPRELIES CONCEPTS AND DEFINITIONS

*Freehand: Draw by hand without guiding instruments , measurements,…
*Line/ Technical drawing: It is a drawing made with the help ok supplies. It is usually the king of drawing used for architecture or enginer plans.
*Compass:It is a tool for drawing circles and arcs, also for measuring elistances between point, consisting for two arms likenby a hinge.
*Protactor: An instrument for measuring of drawing angleson paper, usually a flat semicircular transparent plastic sheet graduated in degrees.
*Set Squares (UK) /Triangles (USA): They are two sprcial ruler with a triangular shapes.
*Eraser: An object ,used for deleting mistakes.
*Ruler : It is  the element you need for take a measure.

IMPORTANT DEFINITIONS ABOUT CIRCLES

*Circle: Set of points  a at the same distance (equidistance) to a point called center (the line)
*Circunference: It is the full lenght of a circle (the comple ).
*Center: It is the point equidistance to any of the point on a circle.
*Radious: It is the length of a line segment from the enter to perimeter.
*Diameter: It is a line segment that pases  throught  the center and connects two points of a circle.
*Chord: A line segment wich connects two points of the circle  but don’t pass to the center.
*Arc: It is a line segment of a circle.
